Instructions to authors
Bulletin of the Faculty of Forestry publishes review articles and original scientific papers in the field of forestry, wood processing, landscape architecture and horticulture and ecological engineering (erosion control). The journal is issued twice a year (1st June and 1st December) and the articles are published in Serbian and English. Papers published in English have an extended Summary in Serbian, up to 2 pages, and the legends are given in two languages.
The papers are peer-reviewed. The reviewers determine the category of the paper. The reviewers are named by the Editorial Board.
The editorial board sends the submitted manuscripts to the reviewers for the professional assessment. If the reviewers propose amendments, a copy of the revision is submitted to the author to make the required modifications or to justify with arguments his disapproval of the reviewer's comments. Final decision on the acceptance for publication is brought by the Editor-in-Chief.
There are no fees for published papers, and the author rights are transferred to the publisher. The manuscripts and additional files are not returned. Reprinting or re-publishing of an article segment previously published in the Bulletin of the Faculty of Forestry requires the consent of the publisher.
The Bulletin is published in the Serbian language, in Serbian Cyrillics, with Abstract and Summary translated into English, or in English with Abstract in Serbian and English and Summary (up to 2 pages) in Serbian.
Manuscript files are submitted on CD-ROM (two copies), in MS Word 6.0-2000/XP (Office 97-2000/XP), in Cyrillic letters or English alphabet Times New Roman, font size 12pt, and in two hard copies. Do not use Tabs and spaces to justify the text, only the justification tools on the Ruler and Toolbars. A punctuation mark should be followed by one space only. Font Symbol should be used for special symbols in the text. Manuscripts can be prepared according to the template available on the Web site of the Bulletin of the Faculty of Forestry.
If a paper is submitted in English, the identical version should be submitted in Serbian.
Submission of the manuscript. The manuscript file and all other files are submitted in two hard copies, together with a CD with the identical text or in electronic form by e-mail to the Editorial Board. The manuscript is sent exclusively by recommended mail to the address: Faculty of Forestry, University of Belgrade, Editorial Board, Bulletin of the Faculty of Forestry, Kneza Višeslava 1, 11030 Belgrade, SERBIA.
Internet presentation of the Bulletin is under construction. It will make possible the electronic submission of the manuscript and all other files.
