INFORMATION TO REVIEWERS

The Bulletin of the Faculty of Forestry - University of Belgrade publishes original scientific papers and review articles:

Original scientific paper is an original scientific work presenting the new results in fundamental or applied research. Based on the presented data, the article should enable: a) the reproduction of the methodological and computing procedures and getting the results with equal accuracy or within the limits of the degrees of freedom claimed by the author; or b) the repetition of the author's observations and evaluation of his analyses; or c) the verification of the accuracy of the analyses and deductions on which the author's findings are based.

Review article is an original, concise and critical review of a topic which has already been dealt with in published scientific papers and results, but approached in a new way and with the presentation and interpretation of the author's original scientific achievements (already published scientific papers) in the study field.

OF THE MANUSCRIPT AND RECOMMENDATION OF THE REVIEWERS:

Points important for the reviewer to consider:

• Is the methodology and the topic of the manuscript appropriate for the selected subject matter;
• manuscript composition,
• legibility and clarity of the manuscript in conceptual and linguistic senses;
• originality and scientific contribution;
• are the cited references timely and well selected;
• are there other articles of similar content and quality;
• is the scientific methodology appropriate;
• harmonisation of terminology and units of measurement with the existing standards;
• quality of the article;
• is the title clear, concise, informative and does it reflect the content and the objective of the article;
• is the abstract relevant and concise (about 200 words);
• do the key words reflect the essence of the article (up to 5 key words);
• does the Introduction define clearly the purpose and the objective of the research;
• does a short survey of general research introduce the topic presented in the article;
• is the methodology clearly defined;
• does the survey of results support the applied methodology, conclusions and recommendations;
• does the previous research in the selected field (supported by citations from the scientific references indexed by ISI) elaborated in the Discussion confirm the author's results.
• does the conclusion include clearly the presented scientific conclusions, open questions and recommendations for further research.

CONCLUSION AND ASSESSMENT:

• does the manuscript conform fully or partly to the guidelines outlined in the Instructions to Authors;
• proposal for the necessary corrections and modifications of the manuscript;
• final assessment with the recommendation for acceptance or rejection of the manuscript.

TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT OF THE MANUSCRIPT

• Manuscript is technically well prepared and conforms to the propositions in the Instructions to Authors;
• He scope of the manuscript conforms to the Journal scope (15 printed pages A4 format);
• Tables, Diagrams and Figures are used in the appropriate way;
• References and bibliography reflect the actuality of the manuscript and are cited according to the instructions for the Bulletin of the Faculty of Forestry;
• The article is legible, written in standard language without spelling and grammatical errors, relevant and interesting to the readers.

The data on the reviewer:

• name and surname
• academic title
• reviewer's affiliation
• date of review and reviewer's signature.
